The Forked Island Gathering System collects crude oil and condensate from Vermilion Block 38, as well as coastal fields along Southwestern Louisiana and delivers it to Chevron Pipe Line Company's Forked Island Terminal located on the Intercoastal Waterway in Vermilion Parish.

The Forked Island Terminal also receives oil by barge and tank trucks. The terminal's marine facilities can simultaneously handle two 40-foot barges. Barges load at a rate of 3,500 barrels per hour and unload at a rate of 2,400 barrels per hour. Tank trucks can be unloaded at a rate of 260 barrels per hour.

The terminal offers short and long-term storage services for customers. The facility has four 25,000-barrel tanks with internal floating roofs and one 55,000-barrel tank with an external floating roof.

The Forked Island facility can ship oil and condensate by barge to markets along the Gulf Coast. As a major barge loading operation in Southwestern Louisiana, the Forked Island Terminal is well positioned to serve producers with safe, reliable and efficient services to meet their requirements.
